Generally, domain name registrations complete within mere hours. The actual update, and eventual functionality of the domain name may take up to 36 hours to complete.

You may use .com, .net, .biz, or .org if using us to register. If you wish to register your domain name yourself, you may use any extension allowed by the registrar you chose to use.
